Woodchucks dig deep burrows under concrete slabs and rock walls. They will excavate enough dirt to cause the concrete slab to sink and crack. When burrowing into rock walls, enough dirt can be displaced to cause the wall to collapse. Woodchucks are more active in the morning and late afternoon, and usually don’t travel far from their burrows. They feed on vegetables and other plants. You may have only one animal, but it is possible to have as many as five in one burrow.
Kwik Kill will live trap woodchucks and release them in the country where they will not cause problems. We will then fill in their burrows so other animals will not reoccupy them.
